Healthcare IT News: Audio-only telehealth benefits patients in need, study finds

A recent study from the University of California on telehealth implementation at community health centers serving primarily Chinese and Latino immigrants found that although phone visits were beneficial to historically marginalized patients, continued virtual care use depends on increased technological resources. The results of the study highlighted the importance of reimbursing audio-only visits post-pandemic and investing in efforts to improve the quality of language services in telemedicine encounters.
