mHealth Intelligence: 77 percent of Infectious Disease Patients Open to Telehealth

According to a survey conducted by Washington University, more than three quarters of infectious disease (ID) patients said they would try telehealth after being told the time and money they spend on in-person care. The researchers also noticed a strong correlation between time and money, and telehealth interest level. As travel expenses and time rose, so did the willingness to participate in virtual care. Researchers concluded that providing the option of telemedicine alongside in-person care within ID clinics appears to spark interest for patients.
