The Patient-Centered Rheumatology Collaborative identified several critical areas for further telehealth intervention to improve the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care during the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond. Specifically, the Collaborative found that, overall, the evidence base for telehealth is robust for the remote management of chronic health conditions. Deregulating policy barriers to the uptake of telemedicine and facilitating sustainable coverage and reimbursement for telemedicine represent critical steps to ensure telehealth is utilized.
