Drug and Alcohol Dependence Journal: Factors Associated with Medications for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD) Treatment Success During Pregnancy Periods

Medications for opioid use disorder (MOUD) are a crucial intervention for pregnant and postpartum individuals with opioid use disorder (OUD). This review evaluated factors associated with MOUD success during the pregnancy and postpartum period and found no differences in outcomes of individuals receiving telemedicine versus in-person care. These factors may help guide future research and inform the development and adaptation of interventions tailored to better meet the needs of this key population.
