Medical Economics: The State of Telemedicine Today
Telemedicine remains an important vehicle for providing many kinds of care. To gauge the current state of telemedicine, Doximity surveyed 1,200 physicians and 2,400 adult patients about their reasons for using telemedicine and its impact on care quality and access. Notably, the survey found a 37 percent increase in patient adherence to treatment plans. Approximately 88 percent of providers agreed that telemedicine increased patients access to health care.
