Morningstar: In December, Telehealth Utilization Increased Nationally and in Every Region Except the West, Where It Decreased

According to FAIR Health’s Monthly Telehealth Regional Tracker, telehealth utilization in December 2024 increased nationally and in every region except the West, where it decreased. Nationally, telehealth claim lines increased from 4.82 percent of medical claim lines to 5.04 percent, a 4.5 percent increase. The regional increases were 5.6 percent in the Midwest, 3.1 percent in the Northeast, 4.7 percent in the South. In the West, telehealth claim lines decreased by 0.9 percent. The data represent the commercially insured population, excluding Medicare Fee-for-Service, Medicare Advantage and Medicaid.
