JAMA Network Open: Association of Adequacy of Broadband Internet Service With Access to Primary Care in the Veterans Health Administration Before and During the COVID-19 Pandemic
This study published in JAMA Network Open found veterans living in areas with poor broadband speed were less likely to use video telehealth after the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, pointing to potential disparities in access. The findings suggest that broadband availability is associated with video-based telemedicine use. Addressing broadband can increase access to equitable telehealth services.
