JAMA Health Forum: Health Care Utilization With Telemedicine and In-Person Visits in Pediatric Primary Care

In this cohort study, compared with in-person visits, telemedicine visits were associated with less prescribing and ordering, modestly higher rates of in-person visits, and slightly more ED visits. The findings suggest that primary health care delivery that uses telemedicine appears to be meeting patients’ pediatric primary care needs.
