The Alliance for Connected Care submitted a statement to the House Committee on Education and Workforce urging members to advance the bipartisan SHARE Act (H.R. 2332) during the Committee’s full committee markup. The SHARE Act would clarify state licensing agencies’ authority to access FBI criminal history records for background checks under interstate occupational licensing compacts, removing a persistent bottleneck that delays multistate licensure, weakens telehealth networks, and ultimately limits patient access to care.
