Healio: Telemedicine increases access to allergy care, but some hurdles remain

According to a recent study, pediatric allergy clinics can use telemedicine to increase accessibility, with subsequent in-person visits scheduled for necessary testing. The researchers found lower no show rates which could mean that telemedicine may be more accessible for certain patients for outpatient encounters. However, telemedicine access depended on the severity of the type of allergy care. The researchers recommended that research into best practices should continue.
